FOOD.

There are always some factors like the difficulty of access or the facilities that makes a refuge a place where you can eat, although it is not a restaurant. 
In spite of these difficulties, we are aware of the importance of food when you practice a physical activity in the mountains. This is why we take special care in cooking. We want the food we cook to be natural, balanced and tasty at the same time.

For us it is important to work with the best local products. We want our customers learn about what is going on in those valleys besides of getting to know well about our mountains. This is why we try to have the best of the authentic products elaborated in an artisan way in the nearest valleys of the Ribagorça, Valle de Boí and Valle de Aran.

The Noguera’s “arbequina’ olive oil; the organic wine from Costers del Segre; the “charcuterie” and cheeses from the Ribagorça and Valle de Aran; the Aran’s grain bread; the organic juices from the Valle de Aran, like the “Inmortel.la”; the Casarilh’s craft beer; the potatoes, and the dried tomatoes “Encantarán” produced by a friend of us…
We do not have a vegan menu, but we can prepare you one if you advise us with sufficient advanced notice. The same thing we do with food allergies and intolerances.

We have always been concerned about offering the best food. This has brought us to be the first refuge to win the AMED accreditation given by the Dirección General de Salud Pública del Departamento de Salud de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonian Health Department) in charge of promoting Mediterranean food.
